Bots Downtime
I'm just posting this to give people a place to talk about the Bots downtime since we obviously can't discuss it on Bots. Post any news you hear...here. You can also stop by on IRC (<a href="irc://irc.quakenet.org/botsunauthorized">#botsunauthorized</a>) to chat.<br /> <br /> Anyway, here's what I know. As of this post, blue works for me and green doesn't. There are only 4 other people on blue though, so I'm guessing I'm in the minority. Others are reporting mixed success using IP addresses, caches, proxies, etc. As for the cause of the problem, here's what I was able to find:<br /> <br /> status: expired<br /> created: 2002-01-30 19:16:14 UTC<br /> modified: 2008-02-01 07:31:31 UTC<br /> expires: 2008-01-30 18:15:59 UTC<br /> <br /> That's an excerpt from the domain whois on bots2.net. So it looks like the domain expired yesterday and unless floR was the one that picked it up, it's likely it's already been taken by someone else. When one of my old domains expired (which got far less traffic than Bots), it was snapped up almost immediately by someone else. Basically any domain with any traffic at all gets taken right away. As shady and unfortunate as it is, it's just the logical result of a simple cost/benefit analysis.<br /> <br /> We can only hope I'm way off target with all this though. Losing the bots2.net domain would be a Bad Thing.

i can login. Kinjin used my Domain name server, 202.27.158.40 to login as well. so if you know how to change those have a go.

its not the game somebody cut three offshore lines in the middel east ive talked to guys all over the world some work,alot dont .or that is the only thing i can figure out.

I think the subdomain green.bots2.net was redirected to a floRs home serwer at sertain folder - like this "new example"<br /> <br /> http://80.61.89.10/new/index.php<br /> <br /> it's all about finding the right folder name.<br /> <br /> about the blue serwer - if you know the blue serwer ip - you can log in and play - as the serwer is on ISP serwer not floR's homemade/

I got a similar response as dragonrose's. The good news is that the domain can be recovered. I'll post again when I hear more.

ok here's what you need to do in order to log with a new bot:<br /> http://80.61.89.10/new/<br /> after assembling a bot wait until redirecting to the game<br /> sometimes it doesn't work and it show idled out page<br /> I used Mozilla - it might not work with IE<br /> <br /> There are currently 1 players online and 0 waiting to get in.<br /> 1 Ratio GaGa checking what is happening<br /> <br /> you can always check out the HoF it works without logging in:<br /> http://80.61.89.10/hof<br /> <br /> <br />

It works :) after creating a new account with http://80.61.89.10/new/ yuo see a regester window again. just leave "next"away from the IP, and you log in on your new build bot
