I find that when making new bots (yes, both times), I'm constantly scanning the armor lists in search of the next non-unique upgrade based on my current strength. I don't bother with uniques while leveling, so I just try to get whatever non-unique offers the most defense for my strength. This tool automates that job. You enter your strength and it tells you the best non-unique for each slot as well as upcoming upgrades.

Some very old players (2002-2003 I think?) may remember something similar that once existed in the game's contributions section. I'm really having trouble coming up with the details myself, but I believe it offered similar functionality with support for weapons too. With the way I play though, I generally plan a weapon path and then just shop for armors based on my strength, so I didn't add weapons to this.
