Quite blatantly too, as anyone who was on at the time saw that every bot was named "Mr. Black" as well as a few other things.

So the downtime is seemingly permanent, as floR has stated he does not wish to bring the game back online. It was a good run, sad it ended the way it did.

The end of an era. This site will remain online for the foreseeable future to act as a hub for players.

:( Fucking hell, this sucks.

I wonder whether the majority of the code is still available and was just tampered with to bring it down by the hackers, or whether they wiped everything and therefore no backup of the code exists. If its the former, do we have any scripters who could perhaps start the long awaited bots ]I[? :D

Trixie don't talk jibberish or we gonna bomb your mother. Flor's decision has nothing to to with Croatia.

The game shouldn't end like this, why doesn't floR just put the game on hold while he patches the hole(s), or at least give/sell the game's source so someone else can take over, there is no need to announce it as the end yet.

im really, really, sad cause bots is hacked, i can say, no one from croatia hacked it, i would never do any hacks about that game, i just loved it :( i still love it, me or any other croatian have nothing with that hacking.. i had very good times with you guys, and im trully sorry cause this happened. all what i can say is, rip bots. ill never forget these days of my life. to all of u i wish all the best in life, and ill never forget u guys.

Yeah,it is really sad.During the time ive played ive gone from single,getting engaged and then getting married and starting a family,-its become a way of life.Nothing i enjoy more than to have a few beers and click n chat,-seems really strange not being able to do that now.I hope one day it does return,yeah,................im really sad it ended like this.

Met a cool bunch of people, who all grew up and led their own paths, all while still connecting via this game. Interesting that a simple game could become much more.

If it was in human nature to just give up every time conflict was encountered, our world would be in horrible shape. I'm not saying that by giving up on BOTS ][, the world's going to end (although for some it seems this way). I'm just saying that the game shouldn't just be given up on. I'm sure floR did what he could to keep it up and running and protected, but if he's tired of dealing with it why not sell the rights to someone else who wants to work on it and get it back up and running?
