This might be kinda problematic ;)
All designers are vulnerable on this subject but I'll give a shot.

We are all very get used to Bots2 layout, it's one site that we can surf almost blindly.
That's why I think some of think could be changed ^^

For example: HoF part imo should went up a little bit higher (I propose just below the lottery).
What I think those are the more visited pages than the "Guides" section.
Same as "Builds" section.

My personal favourite layout would loook like this:

Site
- Home
- Online (the part that shows always at the bottom, small tribute to original Bots2 layout)
- Forums
- About

Lottery
... (probably the most important Section this days, must be high in the navigation panel)

Hall of Fame
...

Builds
... (calc - very nice fature and often used)

Guides
Equipment
Clans
Server Activity
IRC

What I like is that the, AD's dissapeared :) - is it for good ?
What I dislike is the font size of the threads/topics size - it's way to big - makes the pages goes of the screen, while it could stayed nice and neat - no scrolling ones.

One more thing - site layout looks properly when it is maximized
While you the window is custom size - the navigation panel is just to much to the right, there's no margin at all, navigation Folder/titles just touch the border of the window - personally i don't like it :)

I couldn't think anytthing more atm, except those few everything looks good.
Btw did I ever thanked you Ender for creating this site ? No ?
THANK YOU!!
Very well done foo ;)

I agree that the current section ordering is not very reflective of their popularities, so I changed it around a bit. It's not exactly how you would have done it, but close to. I like the "Online" page idea too; I'll play around with it later on though.

And yeah, the skyscraper ad I had on the left navigation panel is gone for now. I can't say whether it's gone for good though. Hosting this website doesn't cost much, but it isn't free either. There are still some ads around the site. On the newest layout, the Firefox ad to the left of the logo at the top is actually an ad (the php, mysql, and w3c links at the bottom are not). You'll also find some ads on pages that use older layouts.

As for the other layout issues, I've designed it to work in resolutions of 1024x728 and larger. If your window size is wider, the layout gets centered. If it can't fit, you'll have to scroll horizontally. I'm not sure what you're talking about with the threads/topic size though. There's no clipping going on for me...could you post a screenshot? I only test in Firefox and IE6, so it might be a browser issue (oh joy).

Thanks for the input!

Good job on the topic order change :)

About the other issues :

when the window doesn't fit the screen you have to scroll horizontally - great.
But i'm reffereing to this :

General Topics titles are just to close to the edge.

Ah, I see what you mean now. I might play around with the thread title positions, but I'm fairly content with the page title size right now. Thanks for the input.
