For those of you that weren't around for the first star lottery, it's basically a way of motivating players to help promote Bots. You cast a vote for Bots at a voting site and in return receive a ticket to a weekly star drawing. In the past, the star pool numbered in the hundreds. It was far more likely you'd win than not win.

Sponsors! I need more stars. Please, please, please come and talk to me if you're interested in helping out. We can use all the stars we can get. One important difference between this lottery and the first one is that you will be in charge of moving your stars yourselves. No need to let me on your bot. All you have to do is check a list that is automatically published each week. So while there may be a slightly longer delay for winners to receive their prizes now, I think the benefits of having a distributed workload far outweigh that.
