In what is now the third (and I hope final) user comment system for Bots Unauthorized, I have created forums!

Not one to do the simple and sensible thing and install something like phpBB and customize it for my site, I decided to write my own forums from scratch. The process took far longer than I would have expected, but I am quite pleased with the end result. My semester has only just started, so I was able to spend the better part of the past 5 days or so working on it. The result is something far more flexible than I could have hoped to achieve using prepackaged software, not to mention the sense of satisfaction. :)

You'll notice that these forums are rather...featureless. That's mostly because I just wanted to get something that works online, regardless of whether it has bells and whistles or not. So while I won't make any promises for future features, I'm not saying this is the final product either. Don't think they're completely featureless though. I can make threads sticky, lock them, restrict view/create/reply access, among a few other things.

A few things worth noting. You can't edit/delete posts at the moment. This is somewhat by design...I'll consider a compromise though. You can't use HTML, I can. HAHA. I'm going to be doing the moderation myself for now. And it will be pretty light moderating. Just don't be a prick and you'll be fine. I made an unmoderated forum in case you want to be one anyway though.

So if you have any questions about it, find a bug, etc., just ask.

Hurrah. This site just gets cooler and cooler. Ender, you should take over bots. ^_^ This site updates more often than floR goes online. BUY IT. lol
